In July 2024 the Rothschild family brought together friends, partners, local councillors, co-presidents of the Champagne Committee and employees to celebrate the inauguration of its new production site in Oger. Dedicated to excellence, this new state-of-the-art site has placed the quality of our cuvées and the well-being of our employees at the heart of its design.
Eco-responsible building, semi-buried in the chalk and powered by 780 solar panels, marks an important turning point in the history of the House. It embodies the family's commitment to a sustainable and innovative vision in the heart of the Champagne vineyards.
Operational since the 1st quarter of 2024, it is dedicated to the ageing, riddling, disgorging, packaging and shipping of our cuvées.
o 15 months of work
o Energy self-sufficiency 90% from the installation of 780 solar panels on 4,500m2 of roof space
o Natural light in the workshops and automated handling to reduce the workload for our employees as much as possible
o Natural insulation by chalk covered with topsoil for perfect integration into the landscape
‘We owe the creation of this website to all those who have trusted and supported us since the start of this Champagne adventure in 2005. Thanks to you, we are here today. This new production site in Oger marks the start of a new era for Champagne Barons de Rothschild, reaffirming a long-term vision on the eve of our 20th anniversary, and we are delighted to look forward to seeing you next year for the opening of our new vinification site in Vertus.’ Philippe Sereys de Rothschild
